RON & HERMIONE // PERSONAL TOP 5 MOMENTS BOOK 3

It was dusk, and Ron and Hermione had just turned up in the common room, pink-faced from the cold wind and looking as though they”d had the time of their lives.

“That is the second time you have spoken out of turn, Miss Granger,” said Snape coolly. “Five more points from Gryffindor for being an insufferable know-it-all.” Hermione went very red, put down her hand and stared at the floor with her eyes full of tears. It was a mark of how much the class loathed Snape that they were all glaring at him, because every one of them had called Hermione a know-it-all at least once, and Ron, who told Hermione she was a know-it-all at least twice a week, said loudly, “You asked us a question and she knows the answer! Why ask if you don’t want to be told?” The class knew instantly he’d gone too far. Snape advanced on Ron slowly, and the room held its breath. “Detention, Weasley,” Snape said silkily, his face very close to Ron’s. “And if I ever hear you criticise the way I teach a class again, you will be very sorry indeed.”

“Yeah, it will,” said Ron fiercely. “You won’t have to do all the work alone this time, Hermione. I’ll help.” “Oh, Ron!” Hermione flung her arms around Ron’s neck and broke down completely. Ron, looking quite terrified, patted her very awkwardly on the top of the head. Finally, Hermione drew away. “Ron, I’m really, really sorry about Scabbers…” she sobbed.

“Is there any point asking how you’re going to sit two exams at once?” said Harry. “No,” said Hermione shortly. “Has either of you seen my copy of Numerology and Grammatica?”
“Oh, yeah, I borrowed it for a bit of bedtime reading,” said Ron, but very quietly.

“Hermione, I don’t know what’s got into you lately!” said Ron, astounded. “First you hit Malfoy, then you walk out on Professor Trelawney -” Hermione looked rather flattered.

FAVORITE QUOTES ABOUT THEIR FILM COUNTERPARTS

Emma: “Between Ron and Hermione, it’s one of those classic love-hate relationships. And on the outside, they are constantly fighting, and so they argue all the time, but I think deep down they have a bit of a soft spot for each other.”
“Well, Harry’s the hero, I suppose, but honestly not for Hermione.”
Dan: “But the sideline story between Ron and Hermione is one of my favourites, as it’s just a cover-up so they can get attention of each other. There’s a huge amount of sexual tension between them, which is great and provides much-needed comic relief because the film is very depressing and angry.” (Lizo: Do you think Ron and Hermione are suited?) “Yeah absolutely, very much so – they are complete polar opposites but suit each other perfectly.”
Rupert :  “There’s a story line developing between Ron and Hermione,” he reflects. “It’s like a little thing going on between them, and there’s a lot of awkward moments in this third one. A few hugs. And we fall out a lot as well. Alfonso thought that was a replacement for our relationship.”
David Heyman: “I think just, the Ron and Hermione thing is the most obvious, leading to book four and book five.”
